One of the key issues for increasing or decreasing the position, influence, authority and active participation of the region and the world is the constructive, changing, continuity and change of Iran's foreign policy, the tension and confrontation of this country with other countries. The present research attempts to answer the main question using the analytical tools provided by the "theory of role" in foreign policy, how the foreign policy of governments is based on "taking on the national role" and how these perceptions affect the development of foreign policy and What role does it play in achieving national macro goals?.. The main hypothesis of the paper is that different perceptions of national role by the discourses experienced in Iran have led to the implementation of different and sometimes contradictory foreign policy. Finally, it was concluded that the combination of "taking over from a national role" would lead to the inappropriate use of the "foreign policy" tool to achieve national goals.    هدف پژوهش حاضر، بررسی و تحلیل عوامل تاثیر گذار  در جهت‌گیری‌های سیاست خارجی ایران و نقش آن در  تحقق یافتن اهداف ملی است. عوامل سازنده، تغییردهنده، استمرار و تغییر سیاست خارجی ایران، تعاطی و تقابل  این کشور با سایر کشورها یکی از مسائل مهم و کلیدی برای افزایش یا کاهش جایگاه، نفوذ، اقتدار و مشارکت فعال  در سطح منطقه و جهان است. پژوهش حاضر می‌کوشد با استفاده از ابزارهای تحلیلی که «نظریه نقش» در سیاست خارجی ارائه می‌دهد، به این سؤال اصلی پاسخ دهد که چگونه سیاست خارجی دولت‌ها بر مبنای «برداشت از نقش ملی» شکل می‌گیرد و این برداشت‌ها چه تأثیری در تحول سیاست خارجی و درنتیجه چه نقشی در دستیابی به اهداف کلان ملی دارد؟ فرضیه اصلی مقاله این است که برداشت‌های متفاوت از نقش ملی  توسط گفتمان‌های تجربه‌شده در ایران، به اجرای سیاست خارجی متفاوت و گاها متعارض منجر شده است. و درنهایت به این نتیجه می‌رسیم که تشتت در «برداشت از نقش ملی»، منجر به عدم استفاده مطلوب از ابزار «سیاست خارجی» جهت تحقق اهداف ملی خواهد شد. https://interpolitics.guilan.ac.ir/article_2794_cccc2094e7cd25a5725f26bdc714e5b2.pdf
