World Politics Quarterly is jointly published by the Department of Political Science at the University of Guilan and the Iranian Association of International Relations, based in Rasht, Iran. The journal began its activities in the Summer of 2012 (Summer1391 in the Persian calendar) and, according to the license issued by the Commission of Journals at the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, has held scientific research credibility since its first issue.
World Politics Quarterly is a scholarly peer-reviewed quarterly journal with open access and double-blind peer review, published with the support of the University of Guilan in cooperation with the Iranian Association of International Relations. The journal provides a platform for the publication of original and high-quality research in the fields of global politics, international relations, regional studies, and strategic developments in the international system.
The journal welcomes articles that employ analytical, critical, or theoretical approaches to examine issues such as foreign policy, great powers, international institutions, global security, international political economy, international law, and related topics, aiming to advance scientific discourse at both national and international levels.Like other reputable academic journals, to facilitate citation and scholarly retrieval, each article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
World Politics is published as an open-access journal to ensure easy and global access to the latest scientific findings for researchers, students, and policymakers.

Review Fees: Yes, an amount of 3,500,000 IRR plus 2500,000 IRR is charged only for articles accepted for publication.
Article processing fee: According to Circular No. 40879 issued by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology on February 13, 2022, this journal is permitted to charge up to 6,000,000 Rials (equivalent to 600,000 Tomans) for accepted articles. A non-refundable fee of 3500,000 Rials is charged exclusively for articles that are accepted and scheduled for publication. This amount must be paid to the University of Guilan’s account via the following link: Journals / Scientific Journal Management. An additional fee of 2500,000 Rials is charged for layout and typesetting of articles scheduled for publication. Please note that all typesetting responsibilities lie with the authors. The journal only facilitates this process by assigning the typesetting work to a professional designer upon authors’ request and receipt of the typesetting fee.The typesetting fee should only be paid upon official notification through the journal’s website. The journal acts solely as a facilitator in the typesetting process and in the transfer of the aforementioned fee to the typesetter. This typesetting fee is not deducted from the 6000,000 Rials cap. The journal only receives 3500,000 Rials directly into the University of Guilan’s account and does not collect any amount beyond this.
