Sino-Japanese Global Competition in the 21st Century: Belt and Road Initiative against Free and Open Indo-Pacific Strategy.

Abstract

China and, to some extent, Japan in the 21st century are seeking to expand their power around the world. Japan is an advanced country that has undergone steps of growth and development during the 1960s and 1980s. China due to its massive economic weight which gains thorough post-1978 economic activities has also been the world's second-largest economy in 2011. In this regard, shaping the future of international arrangements is important for both countries. The main question of the present article is, what are the latest plans by China and Japan to stabilize their transregional status. The present article, with using a descriptive-analytical method, comparison approach and Library compilation, in response to the main question, is arguing that China with the Belt and Road Initiative and Japan with the Free and Open Indo-Pacific Strategy, seek to secure their own interests and limit the other side, and it tries to examine the actions of the parties in Asia, Africa and Somewhat the relations between China and Europe in the form of two plans and strategies based on the theory of transregionalism.
