In recent years, the escalation of trade tensions between the United States of America and China has brought extensive economic and political consequences to the international system, particularly for Iran. The primary question of this study is what repercussions the US–China trade war has had for Iran and how Iran can maximise its interests by adopting appropriate strategies. This article, with a descriptive-analytical approach and within the theoretical framework of neorealism, international political economy theory, and the concept of structural power, examines various dimensions of this confrontation and analyses its effects on Iran’s strategic interests and economy. The research findings indicate that the increase in US economic pressures on China, while destabilising certain global supply chains, has encouraged Beijing to continue cautious engagement with Iran to secure energy resources. According to the findings, it is essential for Iran to adopt multilateral economic policies and to develop trade interactions with China, Russia, and other emerging powers. Additionally, reducing dependence on oil revenues, diversifying non-oil export markets, and strengthening regional trade infrastructure have been emphasised
