China’s growing influence in the Persian Gulf region, especially in the Arab world, has established its position as an influential player in the region’s geopolitical equations. This article aims to examine the various dimensions of China’s foreign policy in the Persian Gulf and its impact on the traditional role of the United States and the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and to analyze emerging trends in regional interactions. The research method in this study is descriptive-analytical, and data are collected through a review of library sources, analysis of official documents, international reports, and case studies. The main focus is on how the regional order is being rearranged under the influence of China’s presence and its consequences for Iran. Iran’s “Look East” policy and the expansion of economic cooperation with China, especially within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative, have provided opportunities for deepening bilateral relations. However, this process faces challenges, including geopolitical competition with the United States, which still considers itself the dominant power in the region, and security concerns arising from the presence of multiple actors. Focusing on the economic, political, and security interactions between Iran and China, this article analyzes the opportunities and threats arising from these relations and shows that strategic cooperation between the two countries can play an important role in shaping regional security and stability.
